At least 10 passengers, including two babies were killed in a horrific auto crash near Umuika Junction in Abia State, along the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway.
The unfortunate crash, which took place at the Apu na ekpu area, has left the community in shock.
Newsband gathered that the deadly accident occurred when a Toyota Sienna bus belonging to a local transport company lost control and collided with a moving truck.
The bus which was fully loaded with passengers and reportedly traveling at high speed, veered off the road after the collision and crashed into the bush.
The bus was on its way to Umuahia when the tragedy struck.
In the aftermath of the accident, sympathizers and local residents rushed to assist men of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in recovering the bodies from the wreckage and transporting them to a nearby morgue.
