Dr. Ugorji made the remarks at the request of members of the APC EXCO at the Ward wherein he hosted the first meeting of the EXCO in 2024.

The meeting took place at the APC Ward office at Lorji.

Chaired by the Ward Vice Chairman, Mr. Hilary Ohaja (in the absence of the Chairman), the attendees took stock of the achievements of the party in 2023.

Chief among those achievements was the overwhelming victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma and the APC at Lorji and in the Mbaise Nation.

The party unanimously passed a motion congratulating Governor Uzodimma on his reelection as the people’s governor.

On the tenure of Ugorji as Commissioner, Mr. Ohaja said that the community is proud of his (Ugorji’s) representation of Aboh Mbaise LGA in the first term cabinet of the governor.

The party commended the Commissioner for his loyalty and service to the governor and the state.

Speaking about Dr. Ugorji’s service and leadership, the Financial Secretary, Hon. Magnus Emenogu, told the Commissioner that he must stay involved in politics.

“You are a good and kind man; we want to continue learning from you; we want to continue riding on your coattails,” Hon. Emenogu said.

“I have never felt more professionally fulfilled than I feel now as a Commissioner in Uzodimma’s cabinet,” Ugorji added.

Going further, Dr. Ugorji told his kinsmen that Governor Hope Uzodimma does not owe him anything in his second tenure, which starts with an inauguration on January 15, 2023.
