2019: Group Endorses Ned Nwoko For Senate

A pan Anioma political group, the Delta North Solidarity Forum, has endorsed Prince Ned Nwoko to represent Delta North senatorial district at the Senate in 2019. 

Rising from it extraordinary executive meeting, held recently in Asaba, the group noted that the Delta North region “is endowed with brilliant individuals with right content of character, integrity, knowledge and experience to represent the area in parliaments.”

In a statement signed by its President, Ifejiokwu Felix, and made available to Daily Trust on Monday, the group noted that it would only support individuals that have the wherewithal to sponsor quality bills that could better the lots of the region and the country.  

The forum argued that Ned, who has sought massive support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in recent time, especially in its anti-graft campaign, would make significant contributions to nation building if elected. 

In its resolutions taken at the end of the meeting, the group resolved to sensitise and mobilise all the citizens of the zone who are 18 years and above to take advantage of the current INEC voters registration exercise to register and collect their PHCs; work assiduously to ensure that DNSF carry out enlightenment campaign in all nine LGAs and 98 federal wards in the senatorial district.

Besides, the forum resolved to mobilise the people to checkmate the activities of unscrupulous politicians in the zone, whom it said, are fond of using thugs and criminal to subvert the will of the people during elections. 

It also pledged to join hands with interested parties to enlighten the electorate to vote for the best candidates from the zone and avoid the temptations of money-for-vote politics.
