2023: PSC targets election offenders, promises better policing

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has pledged to ensure that Police Officers found wanting during the 2019 General Elections will be prosecuted.

The Commission will also officially write to the acting Inspector-General of Police on the status of Police offenders during the elections during the elections with a view to ensuring that they are prosecuted.

The Commission yesterday, Thursday, May 6th, 2021 held a virtual meeting with some non-governmental human rights organizations to review the challenges of election policing during the 2019 General Elections.

It also sought to proffer ways and means to have a substantial improvement during the forthcoming 2023 General Elections with a view to ensuring that they are prosecuted.
