2025 UTME: JAMB Orders Candidates to Re-Upload O’Level Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all candidates seeking admission in 2025 to re-upload their O’Level results.

JAMB issued the directive on Monday, August 25, 2025, through its official bulletin shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The move comes after the board cleared previously uploaded results from its system to avoid confusion during the admission process.

The examination body explained that many candidates uploaded their WAEC 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results before the release of the final scores.

To ensure accuracy and transparency, JAMB said it had to wipe all earlier uploads from its system.

According to the board, candidates who sat for the UTME with awaiting results must now visit accredited centres to upload their final WAEC grades.

JAMB emphasized that the directive applies to all candidates, whether or not their new results differ from those uploaded earlier.

The statement read: “Candidates who sat the UTME with awaiting results are required to upload their O’Level results as soon as they are released.

To avoid any confusion, the Board cleared all prior uploads, and all candidates are now required to re-upload their results.”

The examination body warned that failure to comply with the instruction could affect a candidate’s eligibility for admission in the ongoing 2025 exercise.

“Please re-upload your 2025 SSCE result to the JAMB portal without delay,” the statement added.

The directive has triggered mixed reactions among candidates.

Many expressed frustration after rushing earlier to upload their results to meet admission requirements. Some complained that the new order would cause additional stress and expenses.

One X user, identified as @Ndukaphilip43644, asked JAMB what would happen to those who uploaded results before the implementation of its verification system.

In response, JAMB advised all affected candidates to revisit accredited facilities to verify and re-upload their results.

With this new policy, candidates are expected to visit JAMB-approved centres across the country promptly.

The re-upload will guarantee that the right results are tied to each candidate’s admission profile, preventing possible disqualification.

The board assured applicants that the measure was introduced to streamline the process and ensure fairness in the allocation of admission slots for 2025.
