2027: Nigerians Will Judge Based on Track Record – APC to PDP

As the 2027 general elections draw near, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has declared it will remain a strong force, despite what it calls cheap political shots from the opposition.
The Lagos State APC Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, issued a bold statement on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
He responded to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s recent press release titled, “No Patriotic Nigerian Will Vote for APC in 2027.
Oladejo dismissed the statement as misleading and lacking in substance.
“While such rhetoric may grab headlines, it is neither objective nor factual,” he said.
According to Oladejo, the APC remains the choice of millions of Nigerians who value progress over propaganda.
He insisted that patriotism does not belong to any single party.
“It’s not about party lines. Patriotism is about commitment to growth, peace, and democracy,” he stated.
He said the ruling party had demonstrated leadership through reforms in infrastructure, digital economy, agriculture, and social investments.
He added that these achievements speak louder than the opposition’s noise.
Oladejo argued that voters will decide based on what they’ve seen, not what they are told.
“Nigerians are smart. They know governance is not magic. It requires vision, patience, and responsibility,” he said.
He further noted that reforms are ongoing to stabilise the economy and tackle insecurity.
He maintained that the APC would deliver inclusive growth and stay responsive to national challenges.
While Oladejo welcomed criticism and public debate, he cautioned against attempts to hijack patriotism as a political weapon.
“Claiming only opposition supporters are patriotic is not only false, it insults the intelligence of Nigerians,” he said.
He concluded by saying the APC would stand tall in 2027 because Nigerians will judge by facts, not feelings.
