2027: Tinubu May Weaponize Judiciary Against ADC – David Mark

David Mark declares ADC is for everyone

Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, has raised a fresh alarm.

He claims the ruling administration may use the judiciary to derail ADC’s momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Mark issued the warning during a meeting with the ADC National Legal Support Group on Sunday in Abuja. The group was led by Barrister Abdullahi Abdurrahman.

According to Mark, there are credible fears that legal instruments could be used to slow down the ADC’s growing popularity.

“ADC is the party to beat in 2027,” Mark declared. “But I fear the current government may try to frustrate our growth through court actions.”

He stressed the need for party vigilance, urging supporters to remain focused and resilient.

In response, Abdurrahman announced that 310 lawyers across the country have pledged to defend the ADC at all levels.

“Our team is ready,” he said. “We are fully mobilized to resist any legal sabotage from any state or federal institution.”

Top legal minds are already on board. The legal team includes former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami (SAN), Legal Adviser Barrister Peter Oyewole, and ex-Edo State Governor Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor.

Barrister Oyewole confirmed that the party’s recent merger and legal foundations are solid. “There is no cause for panic,” he reassured.

Mark called on the legal team to stay alert and proactive as the 2027 elections approach.

He also urged Nigerians to support the ADC as a strong, patriotic alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

With growing grassroots support and a legal force on standby, the ADC says it is prepared to protect its mandate and challenge the status quo.
