Niger Delta leader, Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, aka, Tompolo, has said President Bola Tinubu’s re-election would pave the way for the North to produce Nigeria’s president in 2031.
He said the region may have to wait until 2035 if a southern opposition candidate defeats Tinubu, noting that such a president will likely seek second term.
Though, before now Tompolo had donated campaign vehicles to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign across many states notably, Katsina, Sokoto, Kano, Yobe and Taraba, and through the Door-to-Door Movement.
Tompolo unveiled the 32 campaign vehicles he donated and inauguration of the Door-Door Movement as well as the presentation of campaign materials to Bauchi State to support the mobilisation of voters for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the state.
Represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services, High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowei Pondi, Tompolo said the Tinubu administration had recorded achievements in infrastructure and other critical sectors that justified continued support for the President.
He called on Nigerians, particularly residents of Bauchi State to make informed choices and assess the president Bola Tinubu led administration’s achievements and policies as they prepare to make political decisions ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tompolo explained that giving President Tinubu another term would allow his administration to continue implementing its programmes, adding that re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the 2027 elections will pave way for the return of power to the North in 2031.”
“If we want progress in Nigeria, we must support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. If we want peace and development, we must support his administration,” he said.
Tompolo stressed that the federal government had demonstrated its commitment to infrastructure development through ongoing road projects, including the super-highway linking Bauchi-Jos-Akwanga.
He equally cited investments in healthcare, education and other infrastructure as areas in which the administration had made contributions to development in Bauchi State.
