Popular Nigerian influencer Tunde Ednut has thrown a political grenade into the 2027 election conversation.

He declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wouldn’t win even 10% of the vote unless the polls are rigged.

Ednut, a known Peter Obi supporter, made the bold claim on Instagram. His post read:

“If no rigging in the next elections, Tinubu no go get 10% votes from Nigerians.”

His comment immediately sparked a wave of reactions across social media. Many Nigerians echoed his view. A verified user, Olamilekan A., replied:

“That’s my exact thought. Without the usual rigging pattern, Bola can’t even reach 10% in 2027. APC people only brag because they expect to rig again.”

This growing sentiment reflects the deep distrust in Nigeria’s electoral system.

Confidence in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) remains shaky after the 2023 elections.

Widespread claims of vote manipulation and result tampering still linger.

Despite INEC’s insistence that the last polls were credible, critics aren’t buying it.

Many believe the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) used every means to retain power.

Tunde Ednut’s comment adds fuel to that fire.

His platform, with millions of followers, often sets the tone for youth-led political discussions.

His unwavering support for opposition candidate Peter Obi has also drawn attention.

Just recently, Ednut revealed that the APC allegedly offered him money to stop supporting Obi.

He claimed he turned it down without hesitation.

As Nigeria inches closer to the 2027 elections, tensions are rising. Youth voters, social media influencers, and civil society groups continue to demand electoral reforms and transparency.

Whether Tinubu can hold on to power remains uncertain. But one thing is clear influencers like Tunde Ednut are shaping the political conversation like never before.
