Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, and Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru have welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
Speculation intensified early Friday after Osawaru was sighted at a hospital in Abuja, sparking rumours that she had gone into labour.
The development was confirmed hours later when the lawmaker announced the birth in a brief Facebook post, saying the couple had been “blessed with a baby boy.”
The announcement immediately triggered a wave of congratulatory messages across social media platforms.
The birth marks another chapter in their increasingly public union.
2Baba and Osawaru formalised their relationship earlier this year following the singer’s separation from Annie Idibia in January. Their engagement made public on Valentine’s Eve drew significant online attention, followed by family visits and traditional rites.
In July, the couple held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Abuja attended by close relatives and associates.
The latest development continues to place the celebrity politician partnership in the public eye, with industry observers noting the rising commercial interest around the brand influence the pair now wield in entertainment, politics, and lifestyle markets.
