A 14-year-old boy, Malik Kareem, was allegedly killed by three of his colleagues for ritual purposes in Ibadan.
Master Malik according to reports was killed and beheaded by his friends in the Olorisaoko community, located in the Akinyele local government area on Saturday.
A source who doesn’t want to be quoted revealed that Malik and his friends went to the cleric’s residence with the intent of seeking ritualistic wealth.
Upon arrival, Malik was strangled, beheaded, and his body was then cremated.
The source speaking further disclosed that when irate residents reached the scene, the cleric had already escaped, leaving Malik’s dismembered body behind.
In response to the gory discovery, some angry youths in the community reportedly set fire to the cleric’s house.
While confirming the development, the spokesman of Oyo State command, SP Adewale Osifeso said that the command has launched a manhunt for the fugitive cleric.
He added that the authorities are working to bring justice for Malik Kareem and address the troubling circumstances surrounding his death.
