Awards season officially kicks off tonight as the 83rd Golden Globe Awards take centre stage, celebrating outstanding achievements in film, television and, for the first time, podcasts.
The ceremony will air live on Sunday, January 11, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time (5:00 p.m. Pacific Time) from the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
The event will be broadcast on CBS, making it accessible to viewers across the United States.
This year’s edition will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, who returns for a second consecutive year. Major categories to be presented include Best Motion Picture, Best Director, and Best Performance by an Actor and Actress in a Motion Picture, among others.
Where to Watch Viewers can watch the Golden Globes live on their local CBS station. For those who prefer streaming, the ceremony will also be available through several live TV streaming services that carry CBS.
Paramount+, CBS’s streaming platform, will broadcast the event live. Fubo TV and Hulu + Live TV will also offer live coverage for subscribers, providing alternative viewing options for cord-cutters.
Pre-Show Coverage Red carpet coverage will begin earlier in the evening, with entertainment-focused pre-shows airing ahead of the main ceremony. These programmes will spotlight fashion, celebrity arrivals and early reactions as Hollywood’s biggest names arrive for the night.
As the first major awards show of 2026, the Golden Globes are widely seen as a tone-setter for the rest of the awards season, often shaping momentum ahead of other high-profile ceremonies.
All eyes will be on the Beverly Hilton tonight as Hollywood gathers to honour its best and to signal which films, performances and creators may dominate the months ahead.
