The staff members of a hotel in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, were met with horror when they discovered the decapitated body of a woman. The gruesome discovery unfolded on Friday morning of January 19.

Reports indicate that a man had checked into the hotel on Thursday, January 18, around 7 pm, accompanied by the now-victim. Shockingly, the hotel workers stumbled upon the headless body of the woman, as the man reportedly fled the scene with her severed head.

According to an anonymous staff member, the assailant is believed to have drugged the victim before committing the heinous act. The staff member shared, “This is a rude shock. He left the hotel after one and a half hours, purportedly to pick up some items at a nearby store.”

The Adamawa State police command has confirmed the disturbing incident. SP Suleiman Nguroje, the command’s spokesperson, stated, “Yes, a lady was found dead in a hotel here in Yola, this morning. Some narcotics were also recovered from the room. But at the moment, we’re still investigating because we currently have three suspects in our custody in connection to the crime.”
