“Education is the best legacy a nation can give to her citizens” – Mandela

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone B, calls on the Rivers State Government to immediately intervene and safe the ugly situation that our colleagues in various tertiary institutions in Diaspora are currently facing.

Education is the best legacy a nation can give to her citizens, especially the youths; therefore the objective of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) in training our youths outside the shores of our nation to acquire expatriate knowledge in various field of human endeavor was a good one.

We are aware that these students have been abandoned for two years now starting from the outgone administration of Amaechi.

On this note we appeal to the Government of the State, not to attach political coloration to the programme in the interest of the State and our region.

He, rather, should quickly queue into this programme and offset the backlogs of bill in order to save this embarrassing situation, so that our students can finish up their studies in record time in the spirit of continuity of government sustainable programmes.
