Bindow condemns abduction of Olu Falae; call for his immediate release

Mohammadu Umaru Jibrilla BindowGovernor Mohammadu Jibrilla of Adamawa state [pictured above] has joined fellow countrymen in calling for the immediate release of Chief Samuel Olu Falae,

a presidential candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) who was abducted three days ago by unknown men.

The governor stated this when he received members of Grassroot Mobilisers for Buhari as well as Social Democratic Party on a courtesy visit on the governor at the government house in Yola while responding to cry made by the chairman of the party in the state, Mr Bebetu Ibrahim.

He explained that Olu Falae is one of the strongest fighters of Democracy, an important figure in the country that cannot be cajoled to this extends.

Jibrilla also enjoined the party men to help him build a new Adamawa State where everyone would be carried along.

He narrated that the state is the most backward and urged them to contribute their quota for the development of the state.

The governor called for prayers and urged them that transparency and accountability would be enhanced if everyone is involved in the process.

He pointed out that considering his background, diverting public funds will be checked while enhancing development at all levels will be government priority.

Also speaking Zonal Vice Chairman of North East, Alhaji Mohammed Abdullahi, commended Social Democratic Party for the visit, and thanked them for choosing to oppose constructively adding that opposition is a vital rudiment in enhancing Democratic values and development.

Bebetu commended President Buhari for fighting corruption as well as terrorism and Governor Jibrilla for enhancing development and urged his to replicate same to local government areas of the state.

The party chairman told the governor that the party will tow the path of constructive opposition for the development and wellbeing of the state.

In his remark, in a separate visit, state coordinator of Grassroot Mobilisers for Buhari, Mallam Kachalla urged the governor to come to the aid of the group to enable it discharge the mandate on which it was established in January this year.

He said the governor, who is the grand patron of the group should facilitate the appointment of some of its members to enable them fund the group.
