Breaking: Buhari Orders AGF to investigate Abba Kyari, SGF, Magu

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered Attorney General of Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami to investigate Chief of Staff to Mr. President, Abba-Kyari, Secretary to the Government of Federation [SGF], Babachir David Lawal and the Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission [EFCC] Ibrahim Magu over corruption allegation.

Last week Senate had refused to confirm Magu due to allegation and also Senate asked SGF to resign over corruption allegation levelled against by ad hoc committee on Humanitarian crisis in North East.

Also, Buhari’s chief of Staff have fingered in series allegation of corruption.

However, in a statement issued by Garba Shehu, Buhari vowed to prosecute any of his top officials liable of the allegation.

The statement reads: “The attention of the Presidency has been drawn to a number of reports in the media, in which various accusations of corruption have been levelled against some top officials in the administration. 

“In that regard, President Buhari has instructed the Attorney General of the Federation to investigate the involvement of any top government official accused of any wrong-doing. 

“If any of them are liable, they will not escape prosecution. “
