Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Major General Barry Ndiomu (rtd.), has come under fire over alleged attack on ex-Niger Delta agitators who are supposed to be beneficiaries of the amnesty program.

Ndiomu, as learnt, has caused to be arrested some former agitators who petitioned him to the National Assembly.

Nothing much has been said about the content of their petition.

But said agitators were, as learnt, plucked from the street at the instigation of Ndiomu.

“He is a wicked man. We are calling for his sack,” says Eshanepe Israel, known more as General Akpodoro.

Now a chief, ‘Mayor of Urhobo land, Akpodoro, earlier in the week convened a press conference where he poured denunciation on Ndiomu.

“When corruption is attacked, it fights back,” he said to news men, describing the PAP administrator’s clamp down on the agitators.

According to the Mayor, Ndiomu caused to be arrested, John Isuku and Julius  Belemu while  Solomon Adu, Paul Johnson, and Akpos Passman were declared wanted.

“There offense is that they dared to petition him to the National Assembly,” he said.

He wonders why a supposed manager of a Programme will find it right to hound the beneficiaries of the program.

The Mayor called on the National Securirty Adviser to the President, NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, to call the Amnesty boss to order and consider showing him the way out of that office.

According to him, Isuku and Belemu, who are currently in custody are complete gentlemen.

“How we got to the point of retaining a dictator in a sensitive office such as the Amnesty office is a puzzle yet to be unraveled,” he said.
