Constituents laud senator for renovating schools, supporting traders

Some constituents of Sokoto East Senatorial District have lauded Sen. Ibrahim Abdullahi-Gobir  (APC-Sokoto) for renovating some schools in the area and urged other lawmakers to emulate him.

A former Chair of Sabon Birni Local Government Area, Alhaji Idris Muhammad and Alhaji Ibrahim Sarkin Fulanin-Gobir  made the commendation in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.

The duo explained that the serving senator under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) had renovated schools in eight LGAs that comprised Sabon Birni, Isa, Wurno, Rabah, Gada, Goronyo, Illela and Gwadabawa.

Muhammad said the effort has facilitated robust educational development in the areas as enrollments and teachers’ work conditions were enhanced with the provision of standard structures.

The former council chief said that after all the projects were completed the senator commenced the disbursement of funds to small-scale traders and farmers, as well as the rehabilitation of some public structures in the area.

He said schools obtained facelift and urged other federal and state lawmakers to emulate Sen. Ibrahim-Gobir in enhancing the lives of the people.

Sarkin Fulanin-Gobir lauded the senator’s efforts and urged beneficiaries to utilise the facilities properly and to safeguard them against any form of vandalism. (NAN)
