Army vows to arrest Dokubo, Igboho, others

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Ibrahim Attahiru, has stated that the military will soon move against perceived enemies of the state, including Asari Dokubo and Sunday Igboho.

General Attahiru stated this in a warning delivered at the first Commanding Officers’ Workshop 2021 in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

 

While speaking to the separatist agitators, the Chief of Army Staff said the Army will deal decisively with every form of security threats directed at the nation.

He said: “The Nigerian Army under my leadership would remain proactive and jointly work with other security agencies to decisively deal with threats facing the nation.

“The Nigerian Army under my watch remains resolute and is poised more than ever before to decisively deal with individuals or groups that threaten the peace, security and stability of our great nation.”

Recall that Sunday Igboho recently declared that the South West region is no longer a part of Nigeria while Dokubo established a Biafra Customary Government.

Bother movements were aimed at dissolving the union that Nigeria represents.
