There was mild drama as former Chairman of Imo Council of Chiefs, Eze Cletus Ilomuanya bumped into Senator Rochas Anayo Okorocha inside an airplane on Sunday.

Eze Ilomuanya, it could be recalled, was the traditional ruler who was deposed by Senator Okorocha while he was governor of Imo State.

Available reports show that when Owelle Rochas Okorocha was Imo State Governor, he deposed Ilomuanya as then chairman of Imo Council of Chiefs.

He even disobeyed and disregarded a Supreme Court ruling in the process.

According to eyewitnesses, Ilomuanya ran into Okorocha inside the airplane where both of them boarded the same flight to Owerri, the Imo State capital, in Business Class and Ilomuanya rushed Okorocha.

Reports say that the still bitter traditional ruler used his staff to smash the former governor who struggled in a corner for his safety.

It took the intervention of their co-travellers to rescue the senator who had to be re-seated to save him from the traditional ruler.

Owelle Rochas Okorocha, besides being the former Governor of Imo State, is the Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate.

He made historical enemies for himself including the incumbent governor of the state, Senator Hope Uzodinma.

Senator Uzodinma is presently preoccupied with destroying Okorocha’s projects and seizing properties he allegedly accumulated for himself using his office as the then governor.
