AriseTV interview: Buhari dementia-plagued, incoherent —Kperogi

A world affairs analyst and social media influencer, Professor Farooq Kperogi has decried a “dementia-plagued”, “incoherent”, and “genocidal” state of Nigeria’s leader, President Muhammadu Buhari.

Professor Kperogi made the remarks following the interview granted to Arise TV on Thursday by President Buhari.

During the interview, the President noticeably left his interviewers more confounded than satisfied with his incoherent answers.

According to a report published by ElombahNews shortly after the interview, “it soon became a trend that President Buhari will aloofly give an entirely different answer whenever a question is presented before him”.

Reacting to Buhari’s demeanour during the interview, Farooq Kperogi lamented over what he termed “soul-depressing, dementia-plagued… Buhari’s incoherent, genocidal, and ethnocentric babble that passes for an interview”.

In a short memo made available to ElombahNews on Thursday, titled “My brief take on the Buhari interview with AriseTV“, he wrote:

“I’ve just had a chance to watch soul-depressing, dementia-plagued clips of Buhari’s incoherent, genocidal, and ethnocentric babble that passes for an interview.

“All I’m inclined to say at this point is that people who believe in Nigeria can only hope against hope that the country survives the suspended animation Buhari instigates and presides over.

“Trying to make sense of Buhari is now completely pointless.”

The interview has also met stiff criticism from several quarters among Nigerians both at home an din the diaspora.
