AAG: Nigeria to compete in 25 games with 358 athletes

As the All African Games, AAG, officially opens tomorrow, Saturday, Nigeria will compete in 25 games with 358 athletes in all.
Some activities though have begun since the beginning of the week.

The first edition of the All African Games was held in 1965 in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo.

The Games feature a wide range of sports, including athletics, swimming, football, basketball, and many others.

The last edition of the All African Games was held in 2019 in Rabat, Morocco.

The 2023 edition holds in Accra, Ghana.

After a rather patchy preparations for the games, Nigerian contingent made it to Ghana.

Boxing – 11
Chess – 4
Cricket – 15
Cycling – 12

Karate – 14
Mixed Marrial Arts – 4
Rugby – 16
Scrabble – 8
Swimming – 4
Table Tennis – 10
Taekwondo – 14
Tennis – 8
Triathlon – 4
Volleyball – 24
Weightlifting – 12
Wrestling – 14
