Gunmen in the wee hours of Saturday, killed the deputy leader of Song Local Government Legislative Council, Adamawa State, Hon. Ishaya Bakano.
The gunmen who broke into his home at Bannga on Saturday, left shortly after they shot and killed him.
A family source who spoke to our reporter, said the gunmen also shot the son of the deceased, and that he is currently receiving treatment at Song hospital.
The police spox in the state, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident to this paper.
He said the incident happened in the early hours of today, and that the security operatives are doing everything possible to apprehend the suspects.
