BREAKING: Chinese nat’l attacks Nigerian workers in Abia recycling company after he was called to order over disregard for safety rules

A Chinese staffer working with Starich recycling technology company limited in Abia State, has assaulted some Nigerian safety officers who called him to order after he defaulted the safety rules of the company.

In a video exclusively obtained by Newsband, the Chinese national whose identity is not known, went berserk after he was cautioned by the safety officers in the company over his disregard for safety measures.

 

Newsband also gathered that, the Chinese national who is also a forklift driver is aware of the rules inside the factory, which states that the forklift machine should not be used to carry more than one person during working hours in the factory.

A source from the company while speaking with Newsband over the incident said, “The workers have been warned of carrying more than one person on the forklift. He used the machine to carry four persons and a safety officer on duty saw him and was trying to caution him, he angrily drove off. The safety officer brought out his phone to take pictures and make a video of him, he forcefully collected the two phones of the safety officer and smash them on the ground.

“When another safety officer came into the scene to intervene, he began fighting the both officers.”

Starich recycling technology company Newsband gathered, is notoriously known for treating Nigerian workers with disdain.

Meanwhile, attempts to reach the management of the company for comment over the issue proved abortive as their Channels of communication were unavailable at the time of filing this report
