Rampaging gunmen have killed a former Commissioner for Rural Development in Enugu State, Gab Onuzulike.
According to reports, Onuzulike was shot dead on Friday evening.
The incident reportedly took place at Nkpokolo Achi while he was returning from a burial ceremony. An elder brother of the politician, Elvis Onuzulike, who was with him, was also killed by the assailants during the attack.
However, a team of security men News Band gathered, gave the gunmen a hot chase, killed one of them and arrested another.
Enugu State police command is yet to issue a statement over the unfortunate incident.
