BREAKING: Rhodes-Vivour accuses INEC of defrauding Labour Party with thousands of votes in Lagos

The Lagos State Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of shortchanging the party of thousands of votes in Lagos.

Mr. Rhodes-Vivour, made the accusation while speaking on Arise TV on Monday.

He said: “Take a look at Ikeja Local Government where our calculation shows that we have almost 50,000 votes and INEC announced 30,000.

“We are looking at Alimosho Local Government where we won with almost 50,000 votes but they have taken away our results.

“And we are also looking at Ojo Local Government where 3 polling units were declared inconclusive because of violence but we won all the polling units with a margin of 9,600.

“They are saying that the polling result there for the House of Representatives was inconclusive.

“In Surulere too, we won with over 3,000 margins, INEC is saying that there is a mistake that our candidate was on the polls.

“Al sorts of irregularities going on with INEC right now are extremely shockable and we are not going to accept all these results.

“We have all our original polling results and we are going to use them to reclaim the mandate that Lagosians have given to us.”

In the meantime, Peter Obi of the Labour Party has won Lagos with 582454 votes with the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, trailing behind with 541,850 votes.
