More 14 BVAS machines were stolen in Jos north local government from the INEC officials and they manipulated the results and they wanted to force it into the Jos north coalition centre at government college Jos to rig the elections as usual.
However, brave valiant youths from Naraguta B ward as well as Angwa Rukuba got wind of the stolen BVAS and quickly mobilized and moved to the coalition centre and barricaded the place to prevent the enemies of Plateau and Nigeria from sneaking the manipulated BVAS in.
Soldiers threatened to shoot them if they don’t leave, police used tear gas on them but they refused to leave, then came that heavy Sunday rain but despite all these intimidations they stayed on and told the security, we will rather die here than allowed this guy with the adulterated BVAS in, the soldiers and police had to mellow and work with them.
Top politicians of the ruling party started arriving to enter the coalition centre but the youths said no, a popular senatorial aspirant arrived but the youths walked upload him out, a serving member of the house of representative arrived and offered them millions but these heroes stood their ground, a local government chairman came they turned him back.
The “fake” INEC officials with the stolen BVAS came and were turned back, of course the results from those wards were cancelled. In Bukuru, a top police official with escorts wanted to collect the results but the youths walked him out.
In Alheri, the INEC officials refused to the results with the BVAS, the youths insisted “no loading no leaving the polling units” they called the military and police, they came and threatened the youths, but when they realized the youths were in no mood for pleasantries, they told the officials “Upload the results if not you will sleep here, we and the youths can sleep here, but can you the INEC officials sleep here” and they finally uploaded the results.
That is how Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang became governor elect of Plateau State through a transparent and credible election process, what we failed to do during the presidential election, what the Nasarawa State youths failed to do for the enemies of democracy to manipulate and return the governor, what Adamawa, Abia and Enugu youths failed to do to protect their mandates, the Plateau youths did and have shown the way for others to follow.
One radio station, Jay 101.9 FM changed the Plateau narrative, a single station removing a whole seating government and party structure in a state, meanwhile some are still supporting that injustice that happened at the presidential election, but I pity such people, even if Peter Obi gets his mandate back or not, it is just a matter of time, the Nigerian youths are changing the narrative, they owned the country and they will surely take it back now or in the nearest future, don’t stand aloof, join the moving train, the truth will always surface over lies and justice will always surface over injustice.
For the Naraguta B youths, Angwa Rukuba youths, Bukuru youths, Alheri youths and that warrior of an amazon of a lady in Lagos and the brave opposition Lagosians, you are the TRUE HEROES AND HEROINE OF DEMOCRACY your voices will surely be heard.
