Suspend payment of my monthly pension, ex-Ogun gov, Gbenga Daniel tells state govt

Former Governor of Ogun State, Senator Gbenga Daniel, has written to the state governor, Dapo Abiodun to suspend his monthly pension as a former governor.

In a letter dated June 14 which a copy was obtained by News Band Newspaper, Senator Daniel directed the state government to stop paying his monthly pension which is pegged at N676,376.95 kobo.

Daniel, who was elected in February to represent Ogun East in the red carpet chamber of the 10th national assembly, said “good conscience” informed his decision to have his monthly payment suspended.

Daniel was the governor of Ogun State from 2003 to 2011.
