A joint security task force, under the command of Operation Hadarin Dahi, has rescued seven kidnapped female students of the Federal University of Gusau, in Zamfara State
Recall that bandits on Friday last week, had broke into the institution and whisked away over 20 students from their hostels in Sabon Gida, Bungudu local government area of the state.
The students were rescued alongside three male workers of Gupran Engineering Services Limited, according to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency specialist focused on the Lake Chad region.
The troops had earlier rescued six female students on Friday. This however, increased the number of students rescued so far to 13.
