Bandits on Monday night, invaded Funtua town, the capital of the Funtua local government area in the southern portion of Katsina State, killing at least one person.
Samaila Buhari Mairago, a member of the All Progressives Congress—APC, representing Nasarawa Ward of Funtua LGA, was reportedly attacked at his residence in the Nasarawa quarters of the city which resulted to his death.
Police command in the state is yet to make an official statement in respect to the development.
