New naira notes is satanic, withdraw it now, Primate Ayodele tells FG

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the General Overseer of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Yemi Cardoso to withdraw the new naira notes designed by the administration of Mr Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, the cleric described the new notes as “satanic, demonic and a bad omen to Nigeria’s economy”.

He explained that printing more of the new notes will run Nigeria into a big loss which can be avoided by merely withdrawing it.

Ayodele stated that the previous design is perfect for Nigeria and should be the only legal tender in the country.

‘’The CBN governor should withdraw the new notes designed by former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele. The money will run them to a big loss; he should put an end to it.

‘’The money is a bad omen to Nigeria, it is marine spirit money. I don’t know who advised Emefiele but that colour is satanic. We should stop spending that money; let’s return to the former naira notes only.’’

Primate Ayodele also noted that the new CBN Governor will do better but will have issues with politicians and banks.

He warned him against some policies that would affect his success.

He also warned him to be careful of people around him as he sees him being betrayed.

‘’The CBN governor will do a whole but he will have problems with politicians and banks. He will try his best to control the exchange rate but some policies will affect his success. People he trusts so much will stab him. They will blackmail him, say so many things about him.’’

He advised Cardoso to work on digital money and that he shouldn’t tamper with tax duties and VAT to avoid a more disheartening economy.

‘’The CBN governor should work on digital money. He will do better than his predecessor but he will not be allowed to do what he wants, there will be too much opposition. They will not allow him to perform well. I advise him not to tamper with tax duties and VAT, it will affect him a lot.’’
