Pro-Biafra protesters besiege court, demand Kanu’s release

Pro-Biafra protesters, on Tuesday, besieged the federal capital territory magistrate court, demanding for the release of Nnamdi Kanu.

The protesters numbering over 500 converged at the court premises a few minutes past 8am in expectation of Kanu’s arrival to the court.

The protesters sang songs of solidarity and chanted, “All we are saying give us Biafra.” 

They also carried flag and banners of the defunct Republic of Biafra Biafran with the inscription “Indigenous Peoples of Biafra”.

Nnamdi Kanu is the director of Radio Biafra and a leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
