Two Nigerian men have been found guilty of multiple counts of rape of a 17-year-old girl by a Northampton Crown Court in the United Kingdom.
The suspects, Tosin Dada, 34, and Solomon Ibukun Adebiyi, were charged with three counts each in connection with an offence committed on March 12, 2022.
The men claimed they had consensual sex with the girl in question, but their defence was rejected after a 9-day trial.
The jury deliberated for eight hours before returning unanimous guilty verdicts on all charges.
In a statement released on Monday via its official Facebook page, Northamptonshire Police confirmed the conviction and revealed that the two men had been remanded into custody.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 25, 2024.
