Ruben Amorim has firmly dismissed speculation about Marcus Rashford’s future at Manchester United.

He stated he is unsure whether the forward will remain at the club when the transfer window closes.

Recently, Rashford, 27, has not played under Amorim after expressing a desire for a “new challenge.”

He has drawn interest from clubs like AC Milan, Tottenham, PSG, and Barcelona.

With over a week left in the transfer window, Rashford’s situation remains uncertain.

Ahead of the Premier League match against Fulham, Amorim reiterated his inability to confirm Rashford’s status.

“I don’t know,” he stated. “I really don’t know.”

When asked if Rashford would rejoin the team if he stayed, Amorim responded, “Guys, it’s eight days.

We’ll see what happens at the end of the transfer window, and we’ll talk about that at that moment.”

Amorim on Casemiro’s Limited Playing Time

Another player facing limited opportunities is Casemiro. Since Amorim’s arrival, the Brazilian has sat out 10 of the last 13 matches.

Amorim noted that the 32-year-old’s playing style might not align with the team’s current strategy.

“It has to be the characteristics, and I have to choose players based on what I see in the game,” he explained.

“I want to play a style that sometimes differs from other coaches, and I have to make choices accordingly.”

Praise for Fernandes

Despite these challenges, Amorim expressed high regard for his captain, Bruno Fernandes.

He emphasized that United are “lucky” to have him, even while acknowledging Fernandes’ visible frustrations during matches.

“He’s a top player,” Amorim remarked. “People often mention his frustration and his arms in the air.

While it may not look good, you must consider the other side. Under pressure, he always wants the ball.

His availability is crucial, especially in the Premier League.”

Amorim concluded, “I need to help him manage both situations, but we’re fortunate to have Bruno Fernandes.

He may make mistakes, like I did last week, but his passion is vital for any football player.”
