Tinubu to visit Katsina for security assessment

President Bola Tinubu will on Friday, embark on a two-day official visit to Katsina state.

A statement issued by his spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said that President Bola Tinubu will use the opportunity to assess the security situation in the state, commission infrastructure projects, and attend a social function organized by the state’s governor.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja for Katsina State on Friday for a two-day official visit,” Onanuga said.

Also, during his stay, Tinubu will meet with key stakeholders in the state, with a focus on evaluating the security challenges affecting the region.

“During the visit, the President will meet with key stakeholders to assess the security situation in the state,” Onanuga added.

As part of the official itinerary, Tinubu will commission the Katsina Agricultural Mechanized Centre, a major initiative aimed at boosting mechanised farming and food production in the state.

He will also inaugurate a newly completed 24-kilometre dual carriageway constructed under the administration of Governor Dikko Umar Radda.

On a lighter note, Tinubu is also expected to honour a personal invitation to attend the wedding ceremony of the governor’s daughter before returning to Abuja.
