FG allocates N80 Billion for infrastructure upgrade in unity schools

Kano, Nigeria – To improve educational standards, the Federal Government has allocated N80 billion to upgrade infrastructure in 100 Unity Schools nationwide.

Specifically, this funding will enhance facilities, ensuring a better learning environment for students and teachers.

Moreover, the initiative underscores the government’s commitment to revitalizing these institutions.

During an unannounced visit to Federal Government College, Kano, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, confirmed the allocation.

She explained that the inspection aimed to assess infrastructure, leadership, and student welfare.

Additionally, she stressed that such visits help evaluate teaching conditions and strengthen service delivery.

“The government prioritizes quality education and teacher development,” she stated. Meanwhile, she revealed plans for a digital platform to train teachers nationwide.

This platform, currently under development, will enhance educators’ skills regardless of location.

Furthermore, Prof. Ahmad inspected Federal Government Girls’ College, Kazaure, reaffirming the government’s dedication to equitable education.
