Lagos police officers scored a major victory against crime by arresting six suspected gang members in a late-night operation.
The team recovered dangerous weapons and a stolen vehicle during the raid, demonstrating their commitment to keeping Lagos safe.
Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted the suspects during routine patrols near a high-crime area. The men—Yakubu Oke, Teslim Balogun, Emmanuel Osas, Joseph Abah, Idris Adewunmi, and Opeyemi Kolawole—could not explain their suspicious movements when questioned. During the search, police uncovered two locally made pistols, 16 rounds of 9mm ammunition, and 17 live cartridges. They also seized an unregistered 1999 Toyota Camry suspected to be stolen. Further checks linked the suspects to a known criminal gang operating across Lagos.
