Senate on Wednesday embarked on investigation of $3 billion dredging contract awarded by Nigerian Port Authority (NPA).

Senate on Wednesday embarked on investigation of $3 billion dredging contract awarded by Nigerian Port Authority (NPA).

NPA had awarded the dredging of ‎Lagos, Calabar and Bonny Channels in 2005.

However, leading a motion on reckless spending by NPA on the dredging, ‎Senator Ovie Omo-Agege expressed dismay over reckless spending on the dredging by NPA.

The dredging was supposedly executed in connivance with Lagos Channel Management (LCM) Limited, Bonny Channel Company (BCC) Limited and Calabar Channel Management Company  (CCMC) Limited.
