The Indigenous People of Biafra [IPOB] has reacted sharply to criticism attributed to Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha warning the latter to desist from deceiving Igbos with some phantom Biafra State that will never materialise.
Okorocha was quoted in an Elombah.com earlier bulletin as saying:
“Now we are being deceived that IPOB will drive away Nigeria and give us Biafra.
“Even our pastors, men of God and some leaders in the rural areas, nobody is speaking out against this action and the song of war is coming gradually like a desert encroachment.”
In a sharp retort, IPOB fired a two-page statement directed at Okorocha reminding him “that the struggle for the restoration of Biafra is a divine mission”, thus cannot fail.
The statement titled “Nnamdi Kanu & IPOB Cannot Deceive Millions Of Biafrans In Over 150 Countries”, signed by IPOB Directorate Of State, Chinasa Nworu, reads:
IPOB attention have be drawn on a publication credited to Rochas Okorocha governor of IMO state through his Chief Press sec. Mr. Sam Onwumere on 14th Aug.2017 that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are deceiving Igbo with Biafra.
Rochas Okorocha should know that the struggle for the restoration of Biafra is a divine mission, that we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted by people like him who is derailed mentally and also an agent of destruction in our land.
Contrary to his statement , we are not insane neither are we war mongers.
Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are not fraudsters or criminals like Okorocha who acquired wealth through fraud and illicit business before coming to power. The audio tape of who he is and how he got his wealth is widely in circulation on social media.
Okorocha should know that we are fighting for freedom of our people and it is our humanly right to fight for freedom. It is also our international right to seek for self-determination.
We are fighting for survival today in this contraption because you so called leaders have lead us into slavery, death, economic marginalization and other dehumanizing ways of living.
It is unfortunate, when we talk about freedom through the ballot box you term it, a call for war.
I want to inform Okorocha that Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are not ready to build bridges with those who killed over 3.5millions of our people and still killing us till date.
We cannot build bridges with those who see a call for referendum as a call for war and sees truth as hate speech. We cannot build any bridge with those who sees us as objects or infidels and not as humans
Calling and begging pastors and traditional leaders to speak against IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu is the greatest mistakes done because men of God and respected traditional leaders in Biafraland have already pledge their support to Nnamdi Kanu for the restoration of Biafra, ask if you don’t know.
For nearly eight years Okorocha has serve as a governor in Imo state, can he show to the public accomplished projects that benefits the people in the state.
I am not talking about building “roundabout” and trafficking Igbo youths to Turkey which he is a professionalism to that aspect .
Okorocha have made all efforts in his disposal to sabotage the Biafra restoration for years and he always fail in every step he took against IPOB.
He played a major role in the arrest of our leader Nnamdi Kanu in 2015 and he even boasted in the public that Nnamdi Kanu will die in jail for trying to divide Nigeria.
He paid millions of tax payers’ money to the media agents to blackmail Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB that we are useless and irresponsible people and now he called us “DECEIVERS”.
Let me sound this note of warning to Okorocha, we shall pay you with the right coin when time comes make no mistakes about that.
Since you made yourself available to be used against Biafrans, you shall have no hiding place when the big pot corn is toppled.
The power of reasoning and common sense instill in Biafrans in few years by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB is what generates fear in you political imbeciles, that is why you are looking for people to pay to come against us and that you have failed woefully.
Okorocha is in state of confusion and frustration because we said there will be no more election in Biafraland until a date for referendum is announced for us.
If Okorocha want to be part of the contraption called Nigeria, call for a referendum period!
He should know that the game have changed from political power to peoples power, in fact, the change brought in by IPOB is fizzling political harlots like Okorocha from power.
Presently Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB controls over 40 million Biafrans worldwide, the presence of IPOB can be found in over 150 countries and counting, we are whiter than white and whiter than snow and that is what have brought us far, die hard Biafrans under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu who have sworn to restore Biafra are in thousands and are ready to die for the restoration of Biafra.
IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu have raised the hope of Biafrans and that of a common man on the streets of that contraption called Nigeria.
If we are deceivers we could not unify the whole of south east. If we are deceivers you political harlots will not panic at the mention Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.
The blind can see and the deaf can hear and understand what Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are fighting for and if we are insincere and not called for this mission we would have compromised.
Call us names ,but we shall not be distracted until we restore Biafra.
Finally, we ask for a referendum to go our separate way, but you and your Hausa Fulani brothers are conversing for war.
If it comes to that, Biafrans shall defend themselves, we have done it before and we shall gladly and happily do it again. Remember that 2017 shall never be compared to 1967-1970.
As you summoned the pastors, traditional leaders and your so called leaders also don’t fail to summon the Arewa youths to build bridges over the lives of Biafran in the Northern Nigeria over their quit notice of October 1st, 2017.
