Alex Iwobi came off the bench to score the goal that sent Nigeria to the World Cup this evening.

The Super Eagles went into today’s game against Zambia knowing victory would be enough to book their spot in Russia next summer.

Iwobi started the game amongst the substitutes but was brought off the bench after the interval with the game locked at 0-0.

The goal sparked wild celebrations and Nigeria held on during a tense final quarter of an hour to ensure they would be at next year’s World Cup.
