Appeal Court: Sekibo, Ohuabunwa, Egyegbola out; Saraki, Adokwe in
The court of appeal sitting in Owerri has sacked Senator Mao Ohuabunwa (Abia North) [pictured above] following a petition by Chief Orji Uzor Kalu.
In the same vein, Senator Salihu Hussain Egyegbola of APC (Nasarawa South) was issued a red card by court of appeal and declared Suleiman Asonya Adokwe of PDP as dully elected.
Also, Appeal Court today sacked Senator George Sekibo (PDP-Rivers East).
The election of Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki has been upheld by Court Of Appeal.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] to conduct a re-run election in the two Senatorial District of Abia North and Rivers East respectively within 90 days.
According to our correspondent, it was indeed Tsunami cum counter-Tsunami from the appellate courts today.
He, thereby, wish to congratulate the winners and best of luck to those who will slug it out in the re-run.
