Gunmen Kill Passengers in Ruthless Jerusalem Bus Shooting

At least four people have died and more than a dozen others are injured after gunmen launched a shooting attack on a bus in East Jerusalem.

According to Israel’s emergency medical service, Magen David Adom (MDA), distress calls were received at 10:13 a.m. local time on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Reports indicated heavy gunfire at Ramot Junction on Yigal Yadin Street, a busy intersection that links into several Jewish settlements.

Israeli police confirmed that two armed attackers boarded a bus during the morning rush and began firing indiscriminately at passengers and commuters.

Both suspects were later “neutralized” at the scene, though authorities have not disclosed whether they were killed or captured.

The aftermath was chaotic. Broken glass and pools of blood surrounded the bus stop as paramedics rushed to evacuate victims.

Emergency teams deployed urgent blood supplies to nearby hospitals, while dozens of security officers cordoned off the area.

Witnesses described scenes of people collapsing by the roadside, with some lying unconscious before help arrived.

So far, officials have confirmed four fatalities and at least 15 wounded. Several victims remain in critical condition.

The motive for the attack has not been officially disclosed, and no Palestinian militant group has claimed responsibility as of press time.

However, the shooting comes amid escalating violence linked to the ongoing war in Gaza.

In recent months, Israeli authorities have reported an increase in militant attacks within Israel and the occupied West Bank.

At the same time, Palestinians have raised alarm over a rise in settler-led violence against their communities.

This latest bloodshed mirrors a deadly incident in Tel Aviv in October 2024, where two Palestinian gunmen killed seven people and injured many others in a mass shooting.

Regional tensions remain at a boiling point, with security experts warning that such incidents could fuel further reprisals and deepen the cycle of violence.

Israeli authorities have yet to release the identities of the attackers or the victims, but investigations are ongoing.
