Soludo’s wife dares Ekwunife to DNA showdown in London

(DDM) – Anambra’s political scene has been thrown into chaos after First Lady Nonye Soludo issued a direct challenge to Senator Uche Ekwunife over explosive allegations.

DDM gathered that the clash began when Ekwunife allegedly linked Mrs. Soludo’s family to the controversial administration of late Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju.

In a swift reaction, the First Lady described the remarks as false, malicious, and deeply insulting to her integrity and her marriage.

She stressed that she had only ever known her husband, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, as her partner and father of her children.

Mrs. Soludo escalated the matter further by daring Senator Ekwunife to a public oath-taking ceremony inside a cathedral.

She insisted that only God’s altar and divine truth could settle such weighty allegations.

In addition, she proposed that both families undergo DNA tests in London to confirm the paternity of her children.

The First Lady boldly offered to bear all expenses for the overseas tests, pledging transparency in the process.

She went further to promise a cash gift to Ekwunife if the DNA results confirm her husband is not the father.

Mrs. Soludo maintained that the challenge was not only about personal honor but also about defending the sanctity of her marriage.

She warned that false allegations against political families could cause irreparable damage and must not go unchallenged.

Senator Ekwunife, in her response, attempted to downplay the issue, saying family matters did not concern her.

She claimed her initial comments were intended as friendly advice and not a personal attack on the Soludos.

However, her explanation has done little to calm tensions, as the First Lady has already involved her legal team.

According to reports, lawyers are now reviewing the matter and considering possible legal action if no apology is issued.

The First Lady has given Ekwunife a strict 72-hour deadline to publicly retract the statement and offer an apology.

Observers say the development could spark one of the most sensational political battles in Anambra in recent years.

The clash is particularly significant given the influence of both women in the state’s political landscape.

Nonye Soludo, as First Lady, is seen as an outspoken advocate of family values and women’s empowerment.

Senator Ekwunife, on the other hand, has long been regarded as one of Anambra’s most prominent female politicians.

Their open confrontation has therefore ignited widespread debate, with supporters on both sides trading barbs across social media platforms.

Political analysts warn that the issue could escalate further if Ekwunife refuses to apologise within the 72-hour window.

They argue that dragging such a dispute into the courts or a DNA lab would create unprecedented drama in Nigerian politics.

For now, all eyes remain fixed on Anambra, waiting to see if Senator Ekwunife bows to pressure or calls the First Lady’s bluff.
