(DDM) – Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Ifeyinwa Okafor, popularly known as Ivatar, has opened up about misconceptions surrounding her time in the reality TV show.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that she revealed how viewers often misjudged her character based solely on her tattoos, fashion choices, and bold appearance.

In a recent conversation with Sunday Scoop, Ivatar explained that many fans anticipated her to be a source of house drama due to her looks.

“People have said that they expected more drama from me because of how I look, but I am naturally a very calm person,” she said.

She emphasized that the public stereotype of tattooed individuals being rebellious or confrontational does not reflect her true nature.

“I’m classy and intentional. I have a fun, crazy side, but only those I’m comfortable with will see that,” she added.

Ivatar also shared insights into her life outside the house, highlighting her responsibilities as a mother to an 18-year-old.

She explained that these responsibilities made her avoid reckless or attention-seeking behavior in the show.

The former housemate addressed viral rumors suggesting a romantic involvement with fellow housemate Kaybobo.

She firmly denied any romance, explaining that a widely circulated photo depicting a kiss was digitally altered.

“I was shocked when I saw that picture. It never happened. Kaybobo and I are just friends. We connect because we share similar interests, but there is nothing romantic between us,” Ivatar clarified.

She further reflected on her relationship with former close ally Mensan, noting that their friendship had its complexities.

“Maybe I shouldn’t have pulled him into my corner because I felt he was lonely, like I was. We shared some fun moments, but I believe in setting boundaries, and I’ll always stick to that,” she said.

Ivatar also noted that reality TV viewers often exaggerate situations, and she hopes the public sees beyond appearances to understand the real her.

She expressed that her eviction, while disappointing, was part of the journey and has given her an opportunity to focus on personal growth and family priorities.
