(DDM) – Popular Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, widely known by her stage name Omoborty, has sparked both amusement and curiosity among fans after claiming she and her husband are being “stalked by an obsessed person.”

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports that the actress made the statement in a playful post on her official Instagram page, where she shared a series of affectionate photos with her husband.

In the caption, she dramatically appealed for help, asking her followers whether she should formally report the individual to the authorities.

“Please help! My husband and I are being stalked by someone who seems to be obsessed with us,” she wrote.

“We would like to know if we should formally report her to the authorities. Please note that the voice on the last slide belongs to her.”

While the post initially gave the impression of a serious security concern, Omoborty’s followers quickly realised she was joking.

The “obsessed stalker” she referred to was in fact her daughter, whose voice could be heard in the final slide of the Instagram upload.

Fans flooded the comment section with laughing emojis and playful responses, praising the actress for sharing such a relatable and humorous family moment online.

Some expressed relief after understanding the context, as celebrity security issues and stalking incidents are not uncommon in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Omoborty has long been a household name in Nollywood, appearing in numerous Yoruba-language films and social media skits.

Known for her glamour and lively personality, she frequently updates her followers on family life, fashion, and personal projects.

Her latest post, however, also sparked conversation about the pressures and scrutiny celebrities face, even from within their own personal circles.

While her post was lighthearted, fans pointed out that real cases of harassment and stalking are a growing problem for public figures across Nigeria.

Entertainment analysts note that Omoborty’s humorous approach underscores how social media allows stars to humanise themselves by sharing playful glimpses of their private lives.

It also demonstrates how fans react quickly to celebrity posts, often interpreting them literally before the full context becomes clear.

For Omoborty, the Instagram moment served as both a family joke and a reminder of how closely her followers monitor her activities online.

As her daughter continues to feature in such playful posts, the actress appears to be using humour to strengthen her bond with fans and demystify the challenges of balancing family life with public fame.
