Ken Pela Storms Anambra To Support George Moghalu’s LP Campaign, Urges Voters To Choose Conscience

(DDM) – The 2023 Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate for Delta State, Ken Pela, has expressed strong support for George Moghalu, the LP flagbearer in the Anambra 2025 Governorship Election holding today, November 8, during a solidarity visit to the state.

Pela, who arrived from Onitsha before proceeding to Nnobi, joined the #RecoverAnambra campaign trail where he met with Moghalu and his team to offer encouragement and solidarity.

Pela disclosed that he had planned to remain in Anambra throughout the election period but had to cut his trip short due to a family emergency requiring him to travel urgently.

Despite this, he emphasized that it was important for him to personally visit Moghalu, share prayers, and show support for what he described as “a movement of hope and renewal for Anambra State.”

He noted that his presence was not only symbolic but an expression of the shared ideals that unite members of the Obidient Movement across Nigeria under the Labour Party.

“As Anambrarians head to the polls today, I urge everyone to vote with conscience and conviction,” Pela stated on his X handle.

He further urged the electorate to choose leaders with character, capacity, and compassion, describing these as the foundations for rebuilding trust in governance.

Pela reaffirmed his belief that Anambra’s destiny could be rewritten under a people-centered administration.

He said, “Anambra ga di nma ozor, a better Anambra and a new Nigeria are both possible.”

DDM reports that the visit comes at a defining moment for the Labour Party, as voters in Anambra decide who will lead the state for the next four years.

Political observers say Pela’s presence in Anambra adds moral weight to Moghalu’s campaign, as both men are seen as key figures promoting values-driven leadership within the party.

The #RecoverAnambra campaign has continued to gather momentum across the state, drawing attention to issues of youth empowerment, economic revitalization, and security reforms, which Moghalu has prioritized in his manifesto.

With voting ongoing today, the LP candidate has intensified grassroots engagements, urging citizens to take ownership of the democratic process and vote for transformation.

Pela’s message to voters echoed the broader sentiment within the Obidient Movement, that integrity, empathy, and competence must form the new standards for leadership selection in Nigeria.
