Five unidentified men were discovered dead in a decomposed state along the Abuja–Kaduna expressway, near the boundary between the Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State.
According to security analyst Zagozola Makama, the victims, all male, were found lying face down with their eyes blindfolded using black fabric, suggesting they may have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the location by unknown individuals.
Police officers who arrived at the scene recovered two spent AK-47 rifle shells and an android phone.
Photographs of the remains were taken for documentation.
Due to the advanced decomposition and associated health risks, Hon. Danladi T. Iyah, Chairman of Tafa Local Government Area, directed the Social Welfare Department to conduct an immediate burial at the site.
The burial was carried out in the presence of the Hakimi and Village Head (Dagachi) of Garam.
Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the victims and track down those responsible for the killings.
