The Super Eagles of Nigeria will face off against Egypt’s Pharaohs in a practice match on December 16, as part of their preparations for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The match was initially set for December 14 but was rescheduled due to FIFA’s rule allowing clubs to retain players until December 15.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the change, noting that the friendly will allow both teams to make more than five substitutions.

The final 28-man list is expected soon.

The team arrives in Egypt on December 10 for a training camp and more friendlies before AFCON kicks off on December 21.
