As Nigerians celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, DIG Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Police Service Commission, has urged citizens to use the occasion to pray for the unity and oneness of the nation.

In a statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, Argungu emphasized the need for renewal of faith in the nation, tolerance, sacrifice, and manifest patriotism. “As citizens, we must support our leaders and promote the ideals that unite us,” he said.

Argungu noted that the Prophet’s life serves as a source of guidance, saying, “On this auspicious day, may our faith in Allah grow stronger in our hearts, and let us be filled with gratitude… Let’s remember that the Prophet’s life is a source of guidance for us.”

He extended warm wishes for a blessed Eid-ul-Maulud celebration, praying, “May your heart be filled with faith and love.” Argungu also called on Muslim faithful in the Commission to remember the Prophet’s teachings of love, peace, kindness, and tolerance, praying that the grace of His birth would illuminate their lives.
