Michael Carrick has been appointed as Manchester United’s caretaker manager until the end of the season.
The club is set to officially announce the development soon.
Carrick, a former United midfielder and coach, takes over at a crucial moment as the club aims to stabilize its campaign and push for a strong finish to the season.
Carrick previously had an unbeaten three-game stint as caretaker boss at Old Trafford in 2021.
He brings a wealth of experience, having worked as a coach under José Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
His appointment is seen as a positive move, given his connections to the club and his success as Middlesbrough manager from 2022-2025.
